Police warn of an ‘active shooter situation’ and ask residents to say in their homes. They identify Gabriel Wortman as the suspected gunman and say he is likely wearing an RCMP uniform and driving a replica RCMP cruiser. It was later seen travelling along Highway 102 toward Halifax

At 11.40am the Nova Scotia RCMP tweets that Wortman is now in custody, following a standoff at a gas station in Enfield. Police later say Wortman was shot dead by officers
