25 December 1964 Masood is born Adrian Elms in Dartford, Kent

 

Early 1980s Masood attends Huntleys secondary school in Tunbridge Wells where he grows up with two half-brothers. He receives his first conviction, for criminal damage, in November 1983

 

2000 Now living in Northiam, near Hastings, he is jailed for two years after slashing a man’s face in a pub row

 

2003 Masood is convicted for stabbing a man in the face outside a rest home in Eastbourne, the town to which he has moved

 

2004 Marries Farzana Malik in Medway, Kent. He reportedly gains a qualification to teach English as a foreign language and later works in Saudi Arabia

 

2009 Reportedly returns to the UK and works at a TEFL college in Luton. Records show Masood is registered at two Luton addresses in 2010 and 2011

 

2013 Moves with his family to Forest Gate, east London, where they live for three years and Masood attends the al-Tawhid mosque in Leyton

 

Mid-2016 Masood and his family move to a flat in Winson Green, Birmingham

 

December 2016 The family move out suddenly, according to a neighbour. Masood is thought to then live with several men in a flat above a takeaway in Birmingham’s Hagley Road. The police raid the flat after the attack

 

21 March 2017 Having hired a Hyundai Tucson from an Enterprise depot in Spring Hill, Birmingham, Masood spends the night at the Preston Park hotel in Brighton

 

22 March 2017 He travels to London where he drives the rental car into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge and kills PC Keith Palmer outside parliament before police shoot him dead
