DoubleTree by Hilton London – Tower of London
No prizes for guessing which London icon is the star of the show here, but a hotel with a view of the place where Anne Boleyn was executed has to be high on every Londonphile’s list. Rooftop bar Savage Garden also gives excellent views of the Shard.
Hilton Liverpool City Centre
Right in the centre of Liverpool, this riverside hotel is built on the site of the Old Customs House, delivering dockside views for (nautical) miles. The city’s lively cultural highlights are also all within walking distance.
Hilton London Metropole
Roughly a mile away from Hyde Park, Oxford Street and Marble Arch, rooms at Hilton London Metropole afford unsurprisingly impressive views. Keep your eyes peeled for the soaring arch of Wembley stadium – the stadium was originally built to host the British Empire Exhibition in 1923 and is about to celebrate its 100th anniversary.
Hilton Manchester Deansgate
The 23-storey Hilton Manchester Deansgate hotel overlooks the energetic Manchester metropolis, with some of its most iconic buildings – including the Manchester Arena and Piccadilly station – framed within its floor-to-ceiling windows. Its Cloud 23 bar is located at the highest point in Manchester.
DoubleTree by Hilton London – Docklands Riverside
London’s most steadfast feature, the River Thames, is the real draw here. River-view balconies and a waterside terrace provide fantastic views of the meandering waterway and the striking Canary Wharf. The hotel’s 17th century building also once housed London’s last dry shipbuilding dock.
