• On behalf of FSCS, Ipsos MORI interviewed a total of 2,262 adults aged 18+ across the UK. A mixed methodology was used as part of our Omnibus service - 1,260 interviews were carried out face-to-face between 26 October and 9 November 2018; 1,002 interviews were carried out online between 29 October and 9 November 2018.
• The 76% of those who have heard of FSCS/ think they will be financially compensated, is sourced from a separate study conducted by Ipsos MORI, interviewing 941 adults aged 21-70 who personally own at least one financial product (covering deposits, investments, insurance and pensions) across the UK. Interviews were collected via online Omnibus between 1 and 5 November 2018. The 76% is formed from a combination of the following questions:
