Curious to know more about something you’ve seen? Open the Google Pixel 3 camera, long press an object in your viewfinder and Google Lens will tell you what you’re looking at using super-smart machine learning.
Building on the Google Lens launch last year, the Google Pixel 3 features even tighter integration and new functionality. It's particularly satisfying for foodies, especially if you’d like to learn how to cook an unusual ingredient you’ve stumbled on at a market – Google Lens lets you conduct a visual search, calling up similar items, recipes and more. But it's not just food – in addition, you can use it to identify and learn more about the world around you, from fashion to landmarks and plants to animals.
You can also translate or – wait for it – copy and paste text from a printed source. It doesn’t get much more extraordinary than that.
