Want to try Emma’s trademark glamour? Makeup artist Jose Bass tells us how it’s done
Prep: I began by removing any makeup with Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm, massaging into the face to clean and soothe. Then I applied Moisture Surge 72-Hour Hydrator to prime the skin ready for the next step.
Base: For a natural finish, apply Beyond Perfecting Foundation in Neutral 09 with your fingers then buff with a damp sponge to let the skin come through. Next, apply concealer – Emma wears Beyond Perfecting Super Concealer in Medium 22 – under the eyes and around the nose and chin where required. I always apply concealer after rather than before foundation for a less heavy effect – it means you only use it where you need to. If you have any pigmentation, try mixing Beyond Perfecting Super Concealer in Apricot with your own shade – it acts as a corrector shade, and can help neutralise it.
Cheeks: Here I used True Bronze Pressed Powder Bronzer in Sunblushed, taking it across the apples of Emma’s cheeks, along the temples and under the jaw. Follow up with Blushing Blush Powder Blush in 107 Sunset Glow, cutting right on top of cheekbones. You can then use a Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour, blending around the cheek and into the blush.
Eyes: Emma has her own style when it comes to eyeliner and eyebrows, so I kept closely to that. I chose Clinique Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen with Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour on the lash line. For her brows I used Superfine Liner for Brows in black-brown, brushing it upwards, before applying Just Browsing Brush-On Styling Mousse and using the pencil again to fill in gaps and define.
Lips: Apply Sweet Pots Sugar Scrub & Lip Balm in Sweet Rose, then, for a little drama, try Clinique Pop Lip Colour & Primer in Cola Pop.
