US suicide rate at 30-year high

Following a 15-year decline, the US suicide rate began gradually increasing after 1999 and hit a 30-year peak in 2014, the latest year for which data is available. The data below shows the age-adjusted suicide rate (number suicides per 100,000 of the population)
