Getting help

If you have been affected by any of these issues, here are organisations that can offer help, support and information. All are confidential, unless they are given evidence that someone is in serious danger of harm.

NAPAC (National association of people abused in childhood)

Providing support to adults who have suffered any kind of abuse earlier in life, NAPAC offers a free helpline. Calls to this number do not appear on telephone bills. It also runs victim support groups in some areas.

Rape Crisis

Rape Crisis supports women and girls who have experienced any kind of sexual violence at any point in their lives, offering a range of support, advocacy, counselling and information services.

Survivors UK

A specialised service for male sexual abuse survivors and their friends and family, Survivors UK can be contacted through its helpline and a live web chat service. It can also arrange formal counselling on request.

Mosac

Mosac offers counselling, support groups, advocacy services and information to parents and carers of children who have been sexually abused. Its helpline includes an interpretation service in up to 170 languages.
